Preparation for British Championships in Cardiff, Wales

After 2 years of no competition, we finally have the opportunity to compete. I will be competing at the British Championships in Cardiff this weekend of which I will be competing on Floor, Pommel, Vault and P-Bars. I am missing Rings and High Bar due to a chronic shoulder injury. My rehab is progressing well however my coaches and I made the decision to pull out of the pieces in order to ensure my shoulder could recover well. Post COVID-19 Lockdown Skill Progression

After the various interruptive lockdowns in England, I have created a compilation of some of the skills I have been working on all 6 apparatus from September 2020 - June 2021 I have been working very hard to continue my high execution scores and am quickly progressing to the stage where I start implementing the skills into combinations and routines for the upcoming British Championships in September. We are now approaching a 12 week mark to the British Championships and are preparing rigorously for them. I will continue to post updates leading up to the competition.
Return to Training

On 25th July 2020 we were allowed to resume training. I have compiled a collection of my initial training in the return to gyms! I have worked hard over the pandemic to ensure the transition back to training was as smooth as possible.
COVID-19 Lockdown Training
Due to the corona virus pandemic, I haven't been able to train in the gym so I have had to resort to home workouts (outdoors when the weather is nice!) and home pommel sessions. I have been attending daily zoom sessions with my local gym club, Woking Gymnastics Club as well as weekly zoom sessions with the Scottish NPP squad. I have used the time to increase my fitness and my pommel 1 handle work which will hopefully correlate to improving my pommel routine. I was also later given access to a gym to workout in, thanks to my selection to the TASS programme at my college, which allowed me to begin to increase my strength and conditioning before returning to training.
